Kathryn Sussman

Kathryn Sussman, founder of The Writing Space, combines her writing skills with animal advocacy work, specifically pertaining to the need to end the captive display of cetaceans in Canada, by working to close the wild capture loophole in the current Canadian legislation. She currently works with Zoocheck on this, as well as a number of other animal advocacy issues.

Kathryn has a BAH in English Literature, an MFA in English and Creative Writing, an MA in English Literature, and a PhD in English Literature. Her work has appeared in numerous online, print and television sources including Front&Centre, Lichen Arts and Letters Preview, Regina Weese, Artsforum Magazine, the Queen’s Alumni Review, Countlan Magazine, and the Mark News.
